Travel'n Green AwardsWhat is the Travel'n Green program?

Travel’n Green is an environmental initiative developed by the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) which aims at informing and educating consumers about ways in which to reduce their eco-footprint to work towards a sustainable future.

Travel’n Green is based on the CCIA’s Gumnut Awards program which encourages holiday and tourist parks, manufactured home estates and villages, manufacturers and dealers and suppliers to the industry to develop sustainable business practices that address environmental, economic and social elements of their business.

How to get involved

Participating in the Travel’n Green Gumnut Awards is easy and it’s a great way for you to show others your commitment to reducing your eco-footprint and supporting the Gumnut awards program. Like the Gumnut Award Program, there are three levels of support that demonstrate different degrees of commitment to sustainable travel.

What do we get for being involved?

Travel’n Green Gumnut Award

  • Supporter – You’re well on your way to reducing your eco footprint! You receive a Supporter certificate via mail.
  • Ambassador – You’re showing your commitment to environmental sustainability! You receive an Ambassador’s Badge via mail.
  • Champion – To reach Champion level shows that you are truly committed to a sustainable future. You may be lucky enough to be presented with a Champion Trophy at a special function held by the CCIA.
