Avoca Beach forms part of the predominantly surfing and holiday resort area stretching along residential coastline from The Entrance down to Macmasters Beach. Restaurants and cafes line the edge of Avoca Beach with swimmers and surfers which makes the ideal summer break.

Pack a picnic lunch and stop on the grassy banks of Avoca Lake which provide tranquil picnic spots with plenty of shade for the kids to play. For the thespian within, the area is home to the historic Avoca Beach Theatre which was built in 1905 and still boasts old-world cinema charm.

For the nature lover, Wyrrabalong National Park borders the coastline of Bateau Bay with stunning lookouts and walking tracks that are sure to impress and inspire.

Budgewoi is a small resort village that captures 360 degree water views being surrounded by Lake Munmorah to the north, Budgewoi Lake to the south and the Pacific Ocean to the east.

A tranquil fishing location, given its Aboriginal word meaning “Meeting of Two Waters”, Budgewoi offers picnic areas, safe swimming and surfing beaches.

Canton Beach is the place to go when you just want to get it away from it all, but still only a few streets from the heart of town giving visitors easy access to the numerous shops, cafes and restaurants in the coastal township. Located a short drive from the renowned Soldiers Beach and minutes from the rock pool at Norah Head, it has something for everyone.

Toukley is a growing holiday spot for many travellers looking for the sun, sand and some relaxation. Surrounded by water it is spectacular for fishing and recreational water sports.

Norah Head reveals spectacular lookouts, national parks and beaches; an excellent place for a picnic while taking in the stunning views from the headland. A trip to the heritage listed Norah Head Lighthouse is worth is it for the scenic views alone. Constructed in 1903, it was one of the last lighthouses of significance built in NSW.

Around Norah Head discover easy bushland tracks for cycling and walking, or for something a bit more challenging, head on to the Wyrrabalong National Park to hike through the coastal rainforest and wetlands.
